How the Luneta Column Works

The Luneta Column is a visual inspection tool designed for outdoor gearbox applications and other machinery, immediately alerting operators to lubricant problems like foam; an early warning sign of air ingression. Air entering through a faulty connection causes foam to build up, breaking down the oil film and raising equipment temperatures, which increases the risk of cavitation and serious mechanical failure.
